Our time is marked by mass migration and displacement. Homelessness is ever growing and shaping the destiny of our future. Histories are all disrupted and ‘discontinuity’ has come to be our shared human experience.
I am a migrant, and that’s why I chose this text. Disconnection from my roots has affected every aspect of my life and became the filter through which I’ve been looking at and making sense of the world. I’ve been living in a limbo where nothing functions the way it used to. It’s positioned me at the intersection of time and space—exactly where the characters of this play stand.
In making this theater, my intention has been to create a space in which truth and fiction and presence and absence of all the existing things in the world intermingle and the lines in-between them gradually disappear—a portrait of my inner self and the life I’ve been forced into living.
